About the association
Egypt's Artists Sons Association for Culture and Arts was founded in November 2017. The founding members were made up of a number of sons of Egyptian artists. They were then joined by another elite group of artists and sons of artists to be the first association in Egypt and the Middle East whose mission is to spread the culture of artistic and literary intellectual property rights in among artists and children of artists, then its mission is to collect the right of public performance for performing artists and related rights to those entitled to it, stipulating in Chapter Three of Law No.82 of 2002 thereof, regarding copyright and related rights, and the repealed law did not contain a text granting owners of related rights. The author has this protection, and after Egypt signed several binding agreements to protect these rights and they became part of Substantive law, according to which it became obliged to apply the abovementioned provisions of the law, which give an explicit right to performers, producers and broadcasters to obtain those neighboring rights.

The Central Unit for Associations and Civil Work at the Ministry of Social Solidarity certifies that the 'Association of the Sons of Egypt's Artists for Culture and Arts' is registered with the Ministry of Social Solidarity in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Organizing Civil Society Work No. 149 of 2019 and its executive regulations, and is a non-profit organization.
Decision No. 2556 of 2024 The Prime Minister, has issued a decision appointing Dr. Hisham Azmy, the current Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Culture, as the full-time Chairman of the Egyptian Intellectual Property Office, with the rank of Minister, for a term of four years.
Dr. Lamia Zayed, President of the Egyptian Opera House, honored Samiha Ayoub, a renowned figure in Arab theater, during the "Joy of the Soul" event. The evening, titled "Lady of Theater and Lady of Hearts," celebrated her career and contributions. As head of the National Theater, she produced iconic performances with top stars.
